since i spent most of my long weekend in flannels, leggings and gym shorts i thought it was important to dress for dinner last night. we ate a big grilled feast, read, did puzzles and lounged around. this dress always seems perfect for any occassion and after slacking in the style department it felt phenomenal to throw something on that is so easily elegant and put together. one of the few vintage dresses i have found that i wear unaltered, when i tried this dress on in the shop it just fit perfectly everywhere. makes me believe i really would have been beter suited for the fifties. regardless, i love this blue suede belt with the dress, it helps to break up the pattern and creates an hourglass shape.
i hope everyone had a lovely weekend and now we can all easily prepare for a quick four days of work. i am already looking forward to my first and last weekend of relaxation until late in the fall. so many exciting things coming up; a trip to new york city, a visit from my little sister and then eight days in new orleans with jeb! this fall is already shaping up to be one of the best ever!
