nola day one.

wiley wears:

dress: borrowed from jill
necklace: borrowed from jill
sandals: jeffrey campbell
our first night in new orleans was amazing.  our flight landed forty minutes early and we were able to hop in a cab, change at the hotel and head straight out on the town.  we stopped in maison bourbon for a few drinks and some great jazz, had dinner at a pub on bourbon street and then headed to the vampire weekend show in louis armstrong park.  so far, i completely love this place.  everything is vibrant and the architecture blows my mind around every corner.  i think jeb is ready for me to remove the camera from in front of my face.
we took these photos outside on our insane balcony that overlooks a gorgeous street in the french quarter.  i wanted to wear something bright and fun for our first night (and lightweight due to the 90 degree weather.)  i borrowed a few things from jill before we left, as my own summer wardrobe did not offer a whole lot of excitement after a full season of wear.  this silk dress was perfect and i love the lace detailing on the back.  it was perfect for shimmying my way down bourbon street while drinking a foot tall hurricane. (note: brooke and hurricanes do not agree.  both jeb and i felt ill almost immediately after sucking those things down.  but we're in nola, so no option there!)
i plan on trying to post twice daily while i am here.  typically a 'wiley wears' post followed by a post of pictures of all the beautiful things here later in the day.
happy columbus day!
