lake time thoughts.

as of late i haven't been sure i enjoy blogging as much as i once did.  this morning jeb and i head to new hampshire for ten days of rest and relaxation and i think it will give me some time to wrap my head around where i might want to head with this blog.  i know that i love writing about the books i read, and sometimes think that might be the route i want to take.  i've met a lot of great people and made some terrific friends through blogging, but i think the downsides have felt stronger in the past couple of months.  i hope you'll all bear with me as i figure out my next steps.
i'm signing off until i return to the city.
until then, i hope you all have a wonderful weekend/week and enjoy this gorgeous summer.

p.s. buy this awesome sign here.

  1. I think you should only blog when you actually feel like it. No guilt associated with skipping as many days as you want. That's my rule of thumb anyway.

  2. I hope you continue at least in some form! I love seeing your beautiful face every day. Makes me feel closer to you! Enjoy your vacation.
Can't wait to see you :) xoxo

  3. I have DEFINITELY felt the way you're feeling now...wondering why the hell I put so much time and effort into my blog, if anyone reads the damn thing, and would I be better off if I just delete it now and move on with my life.

To this end, I've taken some seriously long vacations from it and I haven't felt bad about it at all. We all need a break once in a while!

But what I have felt is that, with time, I always remember how much I love blogging, and that whether my blog's being read by millions or by no one, it's a sense of validation I can't find anywhere else.

Whether you come to this conclusion or not is a different story, but I have to say...I really believe in your blog. I value your sense of style and your point of view, whether it's about fashion, books, or anything in between.

You inspire me...and I believe in you.

So, I guess I'm saying I selfishly hope you find your love for blogging again...

'Cause who else am I going to have lunchtime photo shoots with?
