     today we went to the sowa market in the south end to do a little perusing and get some awesome lunch from the street carts.  i also bought some beautiful mums to add a touch of autumn color to our apartment this week.  it was a really busy weekend; friday we saw jesse dee at johnny d's and saturday i ran a 5k for the samaritans, lunched at my favorite dive and hung out in the square with jeb and his brother.  so for today, breakfast at our beloved diner and a trip to the market were all that were on the menu.  

     for the market i knew i needed something incredibly warm with this true fall weather.  my brand new-to-me cable knit cardigan was perfect.  i cannot get over how in love i am with this sweater.  it will be everywhere this fall and winter.  i'm picturing lots of cold nights curled on the couch and a few trips to the beach in the winter relaxing with a book.  since my tee was a very pale striped boyfriend style i wanted to incorporate a bit of color and femininity; my purple and blue floral scarf was just what this outfit needed.

     tomorrow begins my last five days of work before jeb and i take off on our eight day new orleans vacation.  considering the highs in boston this week are in the sixties, voyaging to eighty degree weather and a pool are seeming mighty alluring right now.
