    nothing worse than feeling lousy on your birthday.  i had a sore throat and nasty cough all week....and what's better than a fever on the night of your birthday?  needless to say i took the night for relaxation and an early night to bed...hopefully feeling better after a long good nights sleep.

    today i wanted to wear something that made me feel warm and happy  waking up feeling sick and tired, i wanted a pop of color that would bring some sunshine to my day.  i decided a great challenge would be to winterize my favorite summer dress.  this bright marigold strapless dress with multi-colored stones was one of my most loved dresses in the heat of summer, and late last night i realized it might look kind of cute as a high-waisted skirt.  i think i was right.  with a navy cardigan tucked in and some dark tights and boots this summer dress became a great bright spot in the dead of winter.
