tonight i watched 'coco avant chanel' and i have to say that i was memorized. no one could be more perfectly suited to this role than audrey tautou. the film was inspiring, both in regards to fashion and in the greater scheme of life. through all of her trials, coco was able to become one of the most influential and famous designers ever. i really enjoyed the almost-annie hall style menswear coco sported through most of the film. and the nautical striped shirt, inspired by men fishing on the coast of france, had to be my favorite piece throughout. the film did a fantastic job of shooting camera shots through the eyes of coco. you watch as she is inspired by the materials, styles, and tailoring of the people around her.
please add this to your netflix queue!
